For unique application specifications that are not met by out-of-the-box platform support, SmartSelect is easily extended.
Fully Scalable
SmartSelect is scalable to perform effortlessly on high traffic websites. Product selection functionality runs on the client. This means that the powerful user interface experience does not impact on server performance.
Data Sources
SmartSelect can be populated from a relational database or XML data sources. Database integration is possible through ASP, JSP, PHP or ColdFusion server pages. SmartSelect can integrate seamlessly with eCommerce packages such as OSCommerce and StoreFront .
Selection Controls
Multiple user interface controls, including comboboxes, radio buttons, checkboxes and slider controls.
Display Options
Image Size, Row/Column and spacing options allow product presentation to be optimised for ideal viewing performance.
Dynamic Controls
Maximum and Minimum limits can be dynamically set to match product data. For example, the maximum price for a product list slider control can be dynamically set to the highest price in the product data set.
Product Links
Item links can be defined to open product detail pages within SmartSelect itself or to open an external browser page.
Browser Requirements
SmartSelect requires Adobe Flash player (version 7+) and works with most popular browsers. Flash player version 9 is required for Firefox.
